Earlier this year we completed a kitchen installation for a customer in East Kilbride. Creating a feeling of space was important, as was the use of natural light. No matter the size and shape of a kitchen, time spent carefully considering visual appeal as well as function should help to enhance the overall value and appeal of a property.
Kitchen Budget
Because the customer was looking to sell the property in the next couple of years a budget of £3,500 – £5,000 was set.
Design Brief
The idea was to create the feeling of more space with less clutter.
We used light tones to make the kitchen appear bigger with a wood contrast to make the kitchen stand out.
On the floor, large polished square tiles were used to reflect the light coming in from the window. This would make the space appear bigger in size and lift the overall light volume in the room.
Creating value through careful design
A project like this proves that time spent upfront on design will ultimately create better value for a given budget and help to ensure a highly marketable property for years to come.
